Chris was taught in the Bert Grimm lineage, a line of American tattooing that runs back to 1929. That matters here more than anywhere. The rules that make traditional hold up, line weight, black density, how much space a design needs, are the ones he was raised on.
Traditional Runs Through the Whole Shop
American traditional isn't a service we added. It's what most of this shop came up in, and it's why there's almost always someone open who can do it well. That depth is what makes the walk in work. Flash stays up on the walls, and because six artists here work in this style, you can point at a sheet and usually be in the chair the same day. Bring your own idea instead and we'll draw it the same way: bold lines, solid fill, sized so it still reads clean in thirty years.

Bill has been tattooing for thirty years in traditional and black and grey. Three decades of watching tattoos heal and age is worth a lot when you're deciding how big something needs to be or how much detail will survive. He'll tell you straight if a design needs more room. Good pick if you want someone who has already seen how your tattoo turns out.
